The UPND Lusaka province chairperson has been granted a K5,000 bail and two working sureties after he had spent the entire weekend weekend in police custody was arrested for being in possession of dangerous weapons contrary to section 85 sub-section 1 of Cap 87 of the laws of Zambia. Magistrate Alice Walusiku granted bail to the former law maker and Mp of Kafue who is jointly charged with James Sichilongo when they appeared this morning for the hearing. What transpired this morning was that the two accused persons could not take plea as the prosecution team were waiting for instructions from the DPP. At the court room this journalist spotted UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, Mazabuka Central MP Harry Nkombo, Kafue MP Mirriam Choonya and many other sympathisers.
