Zambian rapper Chef 187 has continued being a house hold name in the Zambian music industry by setting his own unbeatable record in the Zed Hip hop Bemba rap category the local language that is popular on the Copperbelt, Luapula province, Muchinga, Central and the Northern province of Zambia. He came on the scene officially in 2011 towards the end of the same year when he jumped on his brother's MK Macky 2 song which was a Diss to Slap Dee founder of XYZ Entertainment. The title of that song was "I'm Zambian Hip hop" the song in which Macky responded to the comments that Slap Dee had made at the 2011 Born & Bred awards when receiving an award for best hiPhone hop video category so the song titled "Nichigwire" featuring P Jay singer who died in 2014. Chef 187 whose real names are Kondwani Kaira is a Zambian hip hop musician, a former Infinix ambassador and former Proflight ambassador from the Copperbelt Province signed under Alpha Entertainments Music whose CEO is Macky 2 his elder brother . He claims that the name Chef 187 means to kill, cook and serve (chef) while 187 is the slang term for murder used by the American police . Another interpretation states that if music is like food , then he is the chef. Having collaborated with rappers such as Tiye P, Muzo, Stevo, Jae Cash, Jemax, Ruff Kid, Dope G etc and song many more he is a big entertainment act in the nation and has dropped hit after hit from the very beginning commanding a huge fan base he has contributed to making the Kopala Swag more popular so that Kopala Swag have launched a clothing line.
