Zambian High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya madam Brenda Muntemba has died something described by GOVT as a great loss to the great nation of Zambia and to women in leadership. Brenda Muntemba was involved in a road traffic accident I'm Kenya on 22nd February 2019 and had since been in a critical condition in the Capitol Nairobi where she had been evacuated to after the unfortunate accident. Ambassador Muntemba had been in the intensive care unit (ICU) until her demise. Born on 2nd July 1970 Brenda served this great nation Zambia in the Zambia Police in various appointments including Zambia Police spokes person from the times of the Levy Mwanawasa regime and Southern Province Police Commissioner during the PF government. Because of her selfless and hard working spirit she rose to great ranks as an outstanding policewoman who did her best to bring honour not only to the Zambia Police but to the nation as a whole. Brenda who later became Chief Programmes officer at UNESCO Zambia will be greatly missed while are contribution in curbing crime and service to this great nation will never be forgotten even that of her last appointment as ambassador to Kenya.
Sakala Reporters have described Ambassador Muntemba as a national hero and a woman who went out of the way at times to ensure that crime was curbed and law was enforced especially in major cities such as Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola and Livingston were the population is high and crime rates higher. Brenda has for many years been a source of inspiration to the women and girls in this great nation and proved overtime beyond all reasonable doubt that women can be leaders and make positive contributions in the country.
